Principle

Electric spark strengthening machine uses the special technology of metal surface treatment,It directly use the energy released by the spark discharge,make hard alloy material or other conductive material and infiltration of molten coat to another surface of conductive materials.Thus change the physical and chemical properties, forming high hardness, wear resistance, corrosion resistance and other properties of alloying strengthening layer.Use electrical discharge for electrical discharge machining.

Feature

1.Electric spark strengthening layer is a new alloy formed under the spark discharge electrode and working material,its characteristic is associated with both materials.

2.After strengthening,available microhardness HV - 1400 (equivalent to HRC70 °, 72 °),when use hard metal YG8 as reinforced steel electrodes,strengthening layer of hardness can reach more than HV1200(equivalent to HRC72 ° above),when heated to 700-800 ° C,hardness remains the same, so as to improve surface wear resistance, corrosion resistance, prolong service life of 1-3 times.

3.Strengthed workpiece proceeds in normal temperature,spark discharge area, is only an instant moment won't produce deformation and crack,and strengthening layer and workpiece substrate combine strongly,won't peel and fall off.Strengthening layer surface is bright and clean, used to deal with the workpiece, in general, no more polishing.

4.Equipment is light,little power consumption, simple operation, flexible and fast when processing, widely use.

Application

This machine has wide range of uses:

1.Strengthen,mainly used in cold punching, forging, bending, extrusion, stretching, die-casting molds and all kinds of lathe tool, cutter, milling cutter, reamer, drill, tap, etc.Under normal circumstances,the range of strengthen size a= 3 mm  b=2-3 mm, to slit, small cavity can also strengthen the b side.

2.Size repair,after strengthen,the surface can thicken to 20-60 microns,thus can be used in the mould, cutting tools, jigs and other kinds of parts with the strengthening of the damage and repair.
